Monthly Message

The Wutherich & Co. Composite was up 2.6% in October. This compares with the S&P/TSX up 2.7%, the BMO Small Cap Index up 1.7%, S&P 500 (US$) up 2.3%, the DJIA (US$) up 4.4%, while the NASDAQ (US$) was up 3.6%.

Its official! We have a trend. Three data points, all positive. The last three months all showed positive returns for the Wutherich & Co. Composite. We say this knowing that we have a lot more to do. Though we always have a few trouble children, most of our companies have solid fundamentals and this should be very supportive of their stock prices over the coming years.

It is just two weeks till the Wutherich & Co. Annual Update and attendance is shaping up to be very strong. We still have a few seats left and so encourage you to let us know as soon as possible if you can join us. As a reminder, we are hosting it at the Mount Stephen Hotel on November 16. For those of you who attended this event a few years ago when it was still the Mount Stephen Club, we hope you enjoy the opportunity to see how it has changed. Cocktails at 5:30pm.
